Mid-terms are a vital inspection to ensure there are no unforeseen issues occurring during any given tenancy.
As we all know, the unexpected can often occur, even with the best planning and preparation.
This is where the mid-term comes in. An independent inspection part way through the tenancy gives you a valuable insight into how your landlords properties are being treated.
It will highlight if there are any breaches of the tenancy agreement, or if there is any damage being caused that could be prevented before it is too late.
The typical areas a mid-term inventory check will cover, are areas such as maintenance issues, damage, neglect and unauthorised activity such as smoking, pets or subletting, as well as giving you an indication of the general level of care taken by the tenant.
